A Year Of Gratitude- Thank You!

I have a hard time believing that a year has come and gone since we first opened our store front. Not only that but completed a move to a bigger location down the street.

I have so much to look back and reflect on. I sat down to make a list of all the things that brought me happiness this year. This year our business grew so much. We grew in ways you as the customer can see, and ways that you can’t visibly see. I know that you can feel it though, our vibe is exploding with pure joy, and we are having fun!

None of the growth, or the way we feel- our happiness, and our drive to do even more week by week would be possible without any of you. My heart is so full just from you all! Having a support system outside of your family can be difficult, but so amazing at the same time.

A myth in owning your own business is that your family will always support you and buy from you. While I do have some amazing family members who have supported my business, it’s the strangers I’ve met along the way who have made such an impact. I am not in any way downplaying the support from my family, I just know I wouldn’t be where I am without the non-family members. I started this journey as an idea with an old friend, and now it’s grown into my life. It helps support my family. It gives me the freedom to build a brand how, and when I want. It allows me to do my own thinking and put my ideas into reality. No one can tell me no, and if they do- whatever, I’m probably still going to give it a go.

This year we grew the business and reach so much that I had to hire a team. A team of amazing ladies. A team who has my back and also keeps me on track. This by far was one of the hardest parts of growth. They say- you win some, and you lose some. If that isn’t the damn truth. As a business owner you want to make everyone feel welcome and try hard to keep everyone happy. Let’s laugh together- IMPOSSIBLE. Y’all ever worked with a group of women? It is definitely a challenge at times- managing all the personalities, and hormones. Somehow though, we came out on top! Having a team that’s working with you, and for you is the most beautiful thing I have seen on this journey. My girls work tirelessly around the clock most days. Answering Facebook messages, posting on social media, taking pictures, shipping, managing the website. It really does take a village- and I couldn’t be prouder. I look forward to 2020, and the big things we will do.

Back to you all- the customer who became a friend. The customer who always offers a positive comment, or just support when you stop by. The customer I had always hoped I would have, but was always worried “what if no one comes in my store”? You did though. You came into my store, and into my life, and then you came back. Again, and again you came back. You fell in love with my brand, you fell in love with the smell of the store- and let’s be honest, that staple smell came on accident, but it can never leave now ha-ha! You all came in, and you brought a friend. You sent your loved ones, your hair stylist, your jewelry lady, your doctor, anyone in your life who may have commented on an outfit, or a crossbody, or maybe your cute blowfish shoes. The Teal Antler brand has spread like wildfire- All because of you. The power of a share, even just one time is something that can’t be measured. The fact that we shipped to almost every state is such an amazing thing to see.

So, I want to say thank you. From the very bottom of my heart, thank you! To every person who has shopped, shared, collaborated, watched a live, or stopped in just to check the store out.

I am so excited to start the new year with my best foot forward, and bring even more growth, and amazing things to you all!
